Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her support and motivation to strengthening South African Social Security Company (SASSA) companies in the course of an engagement along with the agency's senior administrators in a strategic planning session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled while in the 2024 matric examinations.

Of your 724 156 full-time learners who registered for the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% of the registered pupils within the instruction sector.

These learners realized a commendable pass rate of 86%.

"This means that the financial commitment national government is creating from the life of very poor and susceptible young children is yielding a favourable effect in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe reported.

Reflecting on the latest achievements, the Minister highlighted critical milestones and ongoing priorities. She committed to urgently addressing The difficulty of long-lasting Management appointments plus the lack of staff at most area places of work.
